Hello to our 2nd week of school, but our first week w/homework. :-)
Hello Parents and Students!!
Today everyone bring home their new reading bag. You will find 2 very important things inside. 1) books to read to you and, 2) a list of 5 new spelling words.
Parent(s) should sign the reading form each night, and have your child write their spelling words 5X each. Don't worry about the On the Back words. We are learn to make new words from our rhyming words this week: pig and not. We will also have sentences to write, but they're always a surprise on Friday morning. You can also practice your counting at home this week. How far can I count? Let me show you!!!
Also, this week we will be practicing Week 1 from Sight Words with Samson: http://www.sightwordswithsamson.com/. Remember to participate in all five activities for List 1. Do not work on any other lists this week. We are reading the sentences from List 1 at school. We like Samson!!!
