Here we go with Week 3 for spelling and List 3 on Sight Words with Samson. Time is passing and I'm very happy to be back at school, teaching your children! A great big thanks to Mrs. Bade, once again, for doing such an amazing job and giving all the students a great start to their First Grade year. I am adding a new parent link that will lead you to a short, very informative Print Concepts video. Please watch this and add it to your parent repertoire.
Monday, the 17th is Constitution Day. Your child will participate in a lesson on Rules that Govern Us in School, and will make a torn-paper flag in honor of the document that allowed our democracy to flourish. When you stop by our class, you'll have to peek inside to see our new flag.
It was so nice to meet most of you at Open House. We had a full room and learned about how the class and year will be organized. Thank you for making the effort to come. If you weren't able to make it, I'd be glad to see you after school most days. Just send me a note and I'll get right back to you about it.
Don't forget to bring one of your favorite kinds of apples on Thursday!
