1. First and foremost: Go on a rock hunt. Bring your favorite and most interesting rock to school to add to our class Rock Collection. Is it big or little, round or square, light or heavy, and what color is it? What else can you tell the class about your rock?
2. Also, bring back your Take Home Reading Bag with books inside, to school everyday. Make certain your child reads the book(s) every night and you sign the reading log.
This should be an exciting year and we're hoping that you'll use this blog as a way to connect with your child's happenings at school.
Thank you for attending the Open House, on Friday, September 4th. As you could tell, your student knows the way around and has done a fantastic job acclamating to the new classroom and surroundings!
I also appreciate your attendance at the 1st Grade Parent Orientation on Thursday, 10 September. We're now warmed up, informed, assessed, and ready to fully participate in all our learning for the year.
